Anyone going to the Waco Gun Show this weekend at Heart of Texas Fairgrounds? 300 tables. I've never been to this one (put on by RK Shows). Is it any good? I see there is also one in Austin and one in Mesquite this weekend so I hope that doesn't stretch all the gun show dealers too thin. I think that's what happened at the Bell County show in Belton las month because last year there were way more tables than there were this year and the ammo guy said all the dealers were at a big show in Houston.

Anyway...anyone going to this one?

IF I make it to any shows, it will be Mesquite. I am somewhat loyal to my local show guys. Also, I said "IF", because last time I went, I came home with something I really didnt need...oh well.

Good thing my wife loves me! I dont complain about how many purses she owns and she doesnt complain about the guns. :D

a lot of times, exhibitors and visitors go howling away from the Waco shows swearing they will never come back. Sometimes though, they have a really nice one. I'll go just to bump into people I don't see anywhere else.

I've been to the Waco one three times.

Twice it was good, once it sucked.

Spend the $5 and see.

Kinda like playing the slots...except better odds based on your precedent. :p

I'm going to hit the one in Austin and hopefully pick up a cheap case of ammo to feed the SKS and WASR, and maybe look for the longshot deal on another milsurp.

Not Again

I went to this show once...

About half of the tables were not gun related

It was small to start out...

I guess I'll pass

FWIW

Went this morning. The ratio of non-gun tables to gun tables was the worst I've seen. It was pretty bad except for a few tables. However I did see a few things I probably woulda bought if I had any money right now. The Gibson's Guns table (first on in the middle/right at the front) had some good stuff. I saw a guy who runs a pawn shop around the street from my house and he had the exact 870 barrel that I want so it's good to know for when I get the money. The Just Ammo table was a little overpriced but I bought a couple of boxes of stuff ammo anyway. I couldn't just leave empty-handed!

Either way though the Bell County Gun Show down in Belton last month was WAY better.

Brad:
Thanks for the heads up. I went to a Waco show at the convention center in downtown Waco (forgot who ran that one), worst show I'd ever been to. The one at the H.O.T. a couple of years ago was only a little bit better. Since then, never been back to a Waco gun show. Mostly, I trek up to Dallas/Mesquite shows, occasionally to Saxet in Austin. I've been a couple of times to Bell County just to run into neighbors to say hello.
