Going on Vacation, What About My Pistol ?

Going on vacation for 2 weeks but not leaving the state......we're renting a house at the shore. Since we are renting, I was wondering if it is permissable to bring a handgun with me to keep in the house. Nothing in the lease about this and really not interested in asking the rental agent or owner.

If the owner and agent didn't write 'no guns' into the lease, I don't see any problem.

Yeah, I would think you are fine as long as it doesn't specifically say in the lease not to have a gun

I knew you were in NJ before even looking at your location... "Renting a house at the shore" I'm no attorney, but the vacation rental should be considered a residence same as your home, I cant see anything in the statute that would prohibit you to bring your pistol for the stay. My xd .40, with a fresh coat of oil to protect against the salt air, will be making the trip as well very soon. Hope you enjoy the weather...

i would take mine for sure, i did a time share one time at the beach and my xd .40 was with me.
