Going to Cabellas for Ammo

Would you drive 2 hours to go to cabellas for ammo and consider it a good deal?

Only if I had the cash to spend big. I've been to two different Cabela’s and the closest was 3 hours away.

I'm trying to organize a group to go to help defray the fuel costs, if we go it'll be an all day thing and I need close to $700. cash to cover my stuff and NO Wives will be going.

I have a Cabelas about 3 miles away, last time I was in I used an IPhone app "Red Lazer" and scanned in a bunch of ammo. It then looks in other stores and the internet to find better deals. Cabelas isn't that great of a deal unless you have some type of CC reward card or 20% off.

I've got their CC and use it everytime I buy something, it just keeps racking up the points. I decided to use them last year and was able to take $100 off my XDm because of it ..... and of course since I used it for the XDm, it turned right around and put another $450 or so worth of points right back on the card.

I have a 10% coupon if I go in on NRA weekend. But I don't think you can use it if you buy off the internet and just pick it up in the store.

Where else can you get ammo cheap?

I order online and I am happy to see the UPS truck show up with my ammo.
