Are there any firearm accessories or good deals on stuff to be had up there that are legal to bring back as luggage or Fed Ex back to my self? I doubt there is but I have never set foot up there so I have no idea. Splat.

I've been up there a few times. Most of those folks are highly p'ed off at the registration they were going thru a few years ago. The stores that caters to the gun world are becoming few and far between in Canada. I don't know if they ever got to the part of the registration where you even had to have a permit to just buy ammo.
It seemed to me though that they look to us for a lot of things. The folks I know literally beg me to bring them stuff if it's at all possible.

HI THERE. JUST SAW YOUR QUESTION, BUT YES YOU NEED A GUN LICENSE UP HERE TO BUY AMMUNITION. ALL BULLETS(FACTORY LOADED, READY TO SHOOT) REQUIRE A LICENSE TO BUY, EXCEPT BLACKPOWDER OR RELOADERS. YOU CAN BUY BULLETS, POWDER, PRIMERS, AND BRASS WITHOUT THE LICENSE. JUST MY .02 FROM UP NORTH.

NEW222, welcome to THR. However, --and I mean no offense by this-- you might wanna slow down on the Caps Lock. I don't think we (THRers in general) take the hard line with capitalization and everything, but with the all caps, its like an ANGRY DRILL SARGEANT IN YOUR FACE! NOW DROP AND GIVE ME TWENTY, MAGGOT!

Sorry, once I get into the character, it's just... so hard to come out.

Once, I met a lady on a plane who was coming home from Cantadia (she was catching a connecting flight back to wherever she lived, I forget where.) and she had an entire carry-on full of beer and other alcoholic delights. There are actually set limits to the quantities of alcohol you can bring back with you from Canada. Conversely, a friend of a friend came home from a trip to Russia with, like, six bottles of Vodka.

There are limits that you can bring on alcohol and tobacco duty free. All above that limit you will have to pay the duty taxes. I think it's something like a quart of alcohol and a carton of cigarettes, but don't quote me on that.
If you bring long guns you have to apply for permssion in advance. My friend wanted me to go hunting with them. We then found out I would not only need a license, but also a permit to have a firearm in my possesion. He also needed some kind of permit to even loan me a firearm. I just told them it wasn't worth it as that's something you have to apply for well in advance.
Don't expect to shop for firearms and supplies like we do here in the USA from what I have seen.

Forget about the firearms stuff, and enjoy the other items they have in abundance. Although there's a very favorable exchange rate with their dollar, that doesn't mean that everything there is inexpensive, so don't anticipate great bargains. Enjoy your visit, nice people up there.

About the ONLY firearms-related thing we have lots of up here that you may not have much of down there (at least until Clinton's BS Ban sunsets) is hi-caps for the 10/22; since our mag limits don't apply to rimfires, there are lots of Butler Creek 25-rounders and MWG 50-rounders available.
