gold ak?!?!

There is a "paint" called Cosmichrome that has been out for a little while.. There are a lot of autobody places that do the work... It's a 3 step paint system that, to the naked eye, looks exactly like chrome plating. It's not "dirt cheap" but I'd imagine probably 75 bucks to get a gun painted. The only question is whether it would hold up to the heat of firing (if you had the barrel painted)...

I've had several friends have car parts done in it, and it looks great...

They also have it in GOLD, for the "Ghetto Fabulous" lovers :)

I knew some people in 3ID who found a couple of gold plated AKs and some handguns in one of the palaces during the invasion of Iraq.

One of them tried to bring a couple back as souvenirs. He made it as far as Ft Stewart (well, to be technical, his Fox NBC vehicle with the weapons hidden inside made it that far) before someone found them. Then bad, bad things happened. Not sure what the army ended up doing with the pimptastic AKs.

The chromed AK is rather pleasing to view. The gold ones not so much for me, as the pistol grip should match the forend like the chromed one. Just throws off the rifle's aesthetics otherwise...

Still 2 Many Choices!?

Ha, ha, ha, peasant Ratshooter, such an honest question, of course not! It would look pretty sweet to shoot those Winchester nickel plated cases out of them though!

Well the one I posted is available in new zealand... not that that is much help, and $3999 is a little over the top, still pretty expensive after you convert it to US$

When you find out how/ where to buy either the chrome or gold AKs, EMAIL ME.

Please....!!!

I know it's not right, but I can't help going back and looking at the chromed AK. There's just something about it that says this is all wrong, but yet you want it anyways. Very strange; but yet so very desirable.

Someones been playing too much "Call of Duty"

Only with my son, and right now it is Gears of War, not Call of Duty.

With that said, my previous post was just a lame attempt to get this thread back to the top so that a friend who was on THR for the first time and registered could view the pictures as I talked with last night. He has been a strict revolver guy, mostly into old Colts and Quigley guns but after seeing what I was able to do with my ak at his ranch a couple weeks ago, he has bought two ak's.

I wanted him to see these ak's, which I think are beautifully done.
