Does anyone out there have a source for replacment springs for the Colt Gold Cup .38 Special midrange wadcutter magazine?
I've tried calling Wolff springs, but they don't carry a replacement spring. Triple K, who make an aftermarket magazine for the wadcutter round, doesn't sell parts.
And for those who've never seen one; they are different from the spring in a regular 1911 magazine. They look like a recoil spring for the 1911, but they're made from a lighter material.
I have several magazines for my Clark .38 Special conversion, but they're getting just a little tired.
Thanks.

Try this guy. He doesn't list mag springs alone though.
Clark is listing repro .38 mags at $75 each. Geez!

Will a recoil spring fit inside the magazine? If so, Wolff makes recoil springs down to 7 lbs.

Measure the wire diameter and the coil diameter, I bet something can be found. Maybe Wolf would work with you on dimensions, if they didn't list the exact use.

That was my first thought, but I tried one and it wouldn't work. They have to fit around this widget that attaches to the bottom of the follower and the circumference is not big enough. It's close, but the coils on the recoil spring are substantially thicker than the coils on the mag spring.

Sunray; didn't see who who wanted me to contact. Link was missing; can you send it again or email me with a private message. Thanks.

Triple K's magazines work and they're $50. When the Colt mags show up on eBay, they've been going for over $100, but it seems ridiculous to buy a used mag for that price and still end up needing new mag springs.
