1 - TCM mags are modified doublestack .38super magazines. They feed 9x19mm and .22TCM, and the gun is designed to work with those mags. My early magazines are actually marked ".38S" on the body and have no-name baseplates.
2 - $40 is a bit steep, unless they're shipping free and you just want one
3 - The Para mags are hit or miss, don't have a warranty, and will require modification of the feed lips. From what I read on 1911forum, some work, some don't, exactly why remains something of a mystery. Armscor mags, on the other hand, have an Armscor warranty and actually work as-is ... so
why people would order the wrong mag on purpose and then damage it is a complete mystery to me.

If you want Armscor stuff, check at Armscor!
From the Armscor website:
54180 - MECGAR (FS TCM) 17 Round : $34.95
http://us.armscor.com/products/22-tcm-standard-micro-mag-9mm
The parts browser is the little "hammer & wrench" icon on that page.
5 - My advice:
Call Armscor in Nevada and order some mags that work.
Normal business hours for Nevada on weekdays: 1-775-537-1444 (if that doesn't work, try --1445)
Last time I checked, calling will open up the world of cheap USPS shipping, while the website(s) all just use UPS as a non-changeable default method.
6 - TCM grips
You didn't mention which grips you got, but if you dislike the plastic factory grips and don't want to order Para replacement grips and take tools to them, Armscor has pretty nice VZ grips for $75, and they actually fit the TCM properly.
