Can anybody recommend some good books that teach the fundamentals of good handgunning? Stance, grip, etc.? I own several automatics and would eventually like to shoot revolvers as well, but right now it seems I'm all over the place.

Any recommendations are much appreciated.

Thanks,
Marco

Read "Sixguns" by Elmer Keith and "Fast and Fancy Revolver Shooting" by Ed McGriven.

I learned a lot from the Army Marksman Unit training manual - available online somewhere - I printed it out years ago.

Good luck - JM.

If you want a book that details the fundamentals of defensive pistol shooting, this is it. It is exactly what you would learn if you paid the approx. $1100 for the Gunsite 250 course, of course minus the ranges, the live fire drills, and the expert instructors coaching you in your technique. If you can't afford Gunsite, pay $20 for this book. It isn't about tatics, or what gun to use. It is strictly a fundamentals book.

The Defensive Pistol Handbook is used in all Gunsite Defensive Pistol Courses. Topics included in this handbook: Safety with firearms, The Modern Technique, equipment, reloading techniques, tactical guidelines, supported firing positions combat turns and diminshed light conditions. 42 pages, soft cover and illustrations.
Defensive Pistol Handbook $ 19.95
