.......a Beta C-Mag, new in the box! 
We had talked a few days ago about getting a table at the next gunshow to sell off some "excess" guns and goodies. I asked what kind of stuff he wanted to move, and he allowed as how he had over a dozen Beta C-Mags, new in the box!
Needless to say I was just a little in awe at that statement. I made a remark about having wanted one for some time, then we made other small talk for a bit. I figured that was it. He apparently had other ideas in mind.
Today he and I met up with another friend for beers and lunch at a local watering hole, and he handed me a box before we could enter the building. Inside was, ta-da, a brand new Beta C with all the trimmings, pouch, loader, graphite lubricant, the works! Needless to say I was shocked and kept telling him it was unecessary, too much, etc, etc, all the things you mention when taken by surprise. He just kept on about things I had done for him in the past, and to simply enjoy it in good health. Best I could do under such short notice was to thank him and buy everyone's lunch and beers.
Guess I will have to stretch it out pretty darn quick!
