Tons and Tons of great Smith & Wesson and Colts. Remember, any gun made 50+ years ago is C&R. Some of my favorites right now are the Brazilian Contract Smiths in 45acp. Great guns at great prices.

I don't know what you consider cheap but you can probably find the following for $350 or so.

Inglis High Power
S&W or Colt M1917 .45 ACP
Argentine Sistema 1911
P08 Luger (mismatched shooter grade)
Radom
S&W .38 Special

S&W "Victory" .38 S&W models are around $200-250
Tokarevs can be had under $200 if you look long enough.

Glock 9mm/.40

Glock sells the 9mm/.40 family of guns to police departments around the midwest for about 369.00, about 389.00 to an individual officer through some wholesalers.

A really big dept. can get into them en masse for about 350.00 a gun. Glock's "LEO-Friendly" strategy has them giving GREAT deals on agency trade-ins.

I believe one city of about 35,000 people (70-80 cops) just got into Glocks for about 170.00/unit after trading in old S&W 5900's.

That's what I call a good, cheap service gun. AND good marketing...

Used S&W M10s are all over at $100-$150 and make great guns for any use.
I keep hearing this from several sources, but when I'm doing the crawl through the gun shows I can never find any. I'd love to find one, just to have something a little heavier than my tapered 3" Mod. 36 for my wife to plink with.

Not too long ago, if you were a member of the GSSF (Glock Sport Shooting Foundation, or something like that), you could get a brand-new Glock 17 "GSSF Commemorative" for $389.00, shipped to your FFL. That's pretty darn inexpensive. You can still get police trade-in Glocks for $400-450, not a bad deal either.

Makarovs $120-$200
Feg .380 approx $100
Feg Hi-Power approx $200
Arcus Hi-Power $250-$300

Watch for police trade ins at certain gun stores. I picked up a pair of S&W Sigmas for $150 each.

Cheap is relative. I think the Sistema is a good economical pistol when compared to other 1911s.

CZ-50s, CZ-52s and Makarovs good guns and cheaper. But OTOH, they don't shoot 45ACP. ;)
