Good choice for 5.56 or .223 Wylde Match AR barrel 20-26" (threaded).

I'm looking for a heavy varmint barrel for a new upper build. I want it to be threaded for a suppressor which while common for 20" barrels, I rarely see for 24 or 26".

I would occasionally use it for long range hunting with heavier bullets so I want a 1:8" twist and not 1:9.

20" barrels with threaded muzzles are available. Look for "pre-ban" barrel.

Shilen and White Oak Armament make 24" and 26" (WOA) barrels but they are not normally with threaded muzzles. I have 26" 204 Ruger WOA barrel AR-15 that tips the scales close to 12 pounds.

Either may do a custom job but WOA's delivery time is very long these days.

There may be others that make long barrels.

I have a 20" WOA Service rifle barrel (223 Remington) with a threaded muzzle. Excellent barrel.
