Good Deal / Bad Deal on DPMS LR-308?

$1264 Good Deal / Bad Deal on DPMS LR-308?

Here is the package deal: a NIB DPMS LR 308 20" with a removable handle, 2) 19 rd mags, sling, hard case, and 10) extra 19 rd DPMS mags. Total price for the above items is $1264 out the door. All items are new never used DPMS factory items. So is this a good deal or not?

Looks like a good deal to me. According to DPMS"s catalog, that is about the same price without the hard case.

Saw it at a gunshow in PA two weeks ago for $1095 and Im kicking myself for not getting it after I picked it up 3 times.

Are the DPMS .308 mags Proprietary? I think they are. If so, that’s probably a pretty good deal for 12 Mags + gun + mailing case.

But then again.... It's probably only worth a few hundred. I'll give you $700 for the lot just so you don't have to look at that terrible piece of junk and get frustrated.

If you were to buy the mags directly from DPMS...they run $60 per mag...so yes, I'd say it was a good deal. I have owned two of these rifles...a precision semi...what more could a person want??

Yes, the mags are proprietary. SR25 mags will fit in them as well, but they are harder to find and much more expensive.

If you are talking about only getting 2 mags with the package, you can do better so don't kick yourself too hard...There are members on here that can get you a better deal.

The guy I got my LR308 from told me mags for $21.00 when I bought my rifle and now I'm kicking myself for not getting more...Now they cost $27.50 a peice.



You guys better buy them up while you can, if I'm not mistaken, DPMS just raised all of the LR308 prices by 5 bucks!
