Good deal on Browning BAR 7mm?

I guy my uncle knows is selling a Browning BAR 7mm Remington Mag with a Leupold Vari-X II 3.5-10 (i think, may be 3-9). He says it's almost new, bought this past spring, and has maybe a box and a half of shells thru it. Wants to get rid of it for a .300 Win Mag I guess.

Asking price is $600, sounded like a good deal to me. Anyone else have an opinion on this?

The last time I bought one previously owned (it was also 7mm), it was around $700 with no scope. I'd give it a once over, but I'd jump on that deal.
