I am interested in strong side 3:30-4:00 IWB. Looked at the MTAC slide. It would work with any 9-40-357 Glock. One holster, same holster, same place, and pretty much the same gun----every day.

Any other ideas, suggestions, personal experience, anybody?

I would avoid any paddle holsters - sometimes when you draw from a paddle-type holster, the entire holster tries to come out with the gun - not very encouraging in a life-or-death situation.

I myself have a Glock G30 that I currently carry in a Milt Spark Versa-Max II. Great holster and very stable on the belt!

I also have carried in a Milt Spark Executive Companion, which I also highly recommend. I find the Executive Companion to be a better holster if you do a lot of sitting during the time you carry - it is a little bit more "adjustable" on the belt than the Versa-Max II.

High Noon Split Decision/Bare Asset works well.

Don't forget a SmartCarry. They Work.

Also, don't overlook Glocks' own Sport/Combat Holster.

They pull in very tight to the body and can be worn from either side.

I used to ride with a G26 and a spare 17 rounder in a Smartcarry on my V-strom 650.

The seating postiton was upright though.

I'm sure a sportbike seating position would have been a different story.

I've tried them all. If you go to Hoffners.com you get a good price, for multiple Glock models that won't collapse (& that can be good OR bad)

Highnoon holsters has GREAT prices, and Good products.

I suggest the Mason Dixie if you want one that'll rule them all. IWB/OWB easy on the wallet, though not cheap - it's worth it.

I've tried a couple...High Noon, FIST, etc...found that MTAC was thin, comfortable, light weight.

I carry the G26 daily in one. MTAC is just plain awesome...best holster I've ever had. Darn I wish they made these for revovlers.

I bought an MTAC while waiting for my Milt Sparks VM-II. The MTAC was good. The VM-II considerabley more comfortable for me but both work well. Oh I carry a G19. If your guns are of different length I can see the attraction to the "slide".

Check out crossbreedholsters.com. I carried a G36 in their Supertuck for a while and I really loved it. They are a very unique and comfortable holster, and you can easily trim the leather backing to your liking and adjust the Kydex part to vary the retention. I now carry an M&P 40 in a Crossbreed Supertuck and love it, too. One other plus is that you can have one, shipped, for about $75, which is a very good value compared to many of the other good holsters that are available. Good luck!

I have comp-tac holsters (comp-tac.com) for my Glocks. Good price, quick turnaround, nice holsters.

I honestly don't remember who I bought it from, but I have an OWB marked "Chado" South africa, that I got because I wanted something cheap to try carrying my Glock 19 and this holster has turned out to be great. It keeps the gun held close into my hip hollow and retains even upside down after two years of regular use. Under a polo shirt the gun is gone, my wife can't tell if it's there or not.

What's the vendor who sells holsters for $35.? It probably came from there.

The Double Deep Cover Concealment is literally the best holster I have ever had and I would strongly say that the holster was worth the wait to get it. The gun draws easily but tight enough that I do not believe it will wiggle out. I would look at Elmer's site Leather Arsenal.

I have carried my Glock 17 (at 3:00 to 3:30) for many years in a Galco CombatMaster.

They are slim, flexible and comfortable after "breaking-in" (about 3-4 days) and last dang near forever. I have had mine for better than eleven years now and am just now considering replacing it due to the external wear that it has accrued over the years. It still remains functional and replacing it is more of a "cosmetic concern" than anything else to be completely honest about it.

Of course, I find leather to be more comfortable than the various Kydex offerings and happily accept the reduction in duarability in exchange for the greater comfort offered by leather. Kydex is just too rigid to be comfortable for all day carry.

A great alternative to the CombatMaster is the Concealable. Both are OWB designs.

I've used Comp-Tac CTACs for my 17/26/1911 and loved them. The MTAC looks very promising though! I may get one for the XD I see in my near future.
