Good jeans for pocket carry.

Does this mean that, in addition to holsters, pistol type and obeying the law, I'm going to have to get into designer jeans, too? Gosh, I'm gonna have to think again about getting a ccw.

I wear bdu, acu, or cargo style pants most of the time so pocket carry is easy in them. I carry my G19 OWB most the time though so I don't have to worry about it even when I'm wearing jeans. I just got my pocket pistol recently but haven't started carrying it because I haven't found ammo that feeds reliably in it. :(

I have tried many different kinds of jeans for pocket carry, and for me the Wrangler 96501MR (that's one of their most common and least expense jeans) work a lot better than any other. They have a little deeper front pockets than most others. I had a leather holster custom made to fit the pocket on those jeans. When I wear jeans with larger pockets, then stuff falls out of my pockets every time I lay down (I like to take naps).

Take a look at Wrangler Angler Jeans. Can only find them on Amazon anymore. Not much room for back pocket carry, but they have large conventional trouser slant cut side pockets. There is also mid right thigh a small double pocket designed for pliers that is handy for a folding knife with clip. They are also available in a thin rip-stop kaki.

What's the difference between that and getting into bike riding and buying speedos and a helmet? Or boating and buying deck shoes and a life preserver? How about having to buy a frying pan because you've bought some eggs?:what:

Just saying.

Speedos? In public? "Deckshoes?" Gee, maybe the designer jeans won't be so bad, after all. Armed with my new frying pan, I will fear no man and need no gun. Just kidding, Woody. Appreciate the humor.

Duluth Trading Co.

Duluth Trading Co. has "ballroom" brand jeans that have deep pockets, are triple stitched, and wear very well.

Good product. You can choose from a brand made "somewhere", or some that are made right here in the US. I have a pair of each, and both are wearing extremely well after about two years.

...at least no one said Dungarees...:D...I have found most of any of the Denim jeans work but the cheaper ones...at least for me, tend to have the more shallow pockets...

Something with square pockets, assuming your pocket holster is flat on the bottom, I think I had a problem wtih wranglers, but Lee and Levi both work well.

22-rimfire I know just figured some comment about eating and needing a bib would come up. And they do work ok for that too.hehe

Levi's work fine for me. I just make sure that the pockets are big enough and square, and that they're loose fitting and just baggy enough to hide my gun in a pocket holster. You want them just loose enough to where the gun and holster don't outline when standing and there's only a slight indistinguishable lump when squatting, kneeling or sitting.

This has worked great for when I carried Colt Pocket Nines, j-frames, my Kahr PM9 and presently for my Kahr PM40. It works sufficiently for my Glock 27 and 33 but they're longer and thicker and show more. They're also just heavy enough that they cause the pants to tug and droop noticeably on that side.

As mentioned earlier, you don't want them to be too big and allow your gun and holster to flop around.

+1 on the Wranglers. However each brand has "models" that vary from year to year. I now find myself digging my hand into the pocket of each potential pair of jeans/ cargo shorts that I am considering purchasing. If I find a brand/model that seems to have a good pocket, I try it on in the dressing room (shopping while CCWing, of course) for the final test. Then if I am happy with them, I tend to buy every pair they have in my size (which always seem to be very limited - why is that?)

I don't touch Levi's at all, though. Personal choice because of the all the left-wing causes they give tons of money to. Too bad because there was I time I really liked their jeans.

Another vote for Wranglers.Nice deep pockets for pocket pistol carry and the belt loops are spaced just right for me to use a Pancake holster.YMMV.tom.
