So I owe a grand total of about $550 to two different gun shops on totally opposite ends of Indianapolis... :what:

I noticed a green .40 Walther P99 (older...with the ski-hump in the trigger guard) languishing away in the case. They were asking $418 for it...two mags, case, etc. Upon inspection it didn't look like it had ever been fired! Still a mirror-like finish on the inside of the barrel, no "brass slap" markings on the inside of the slide/chamber... Perfect condition! I figured it'd be good company to my black/black 9mm P99 (When ever S&W gives it back).

I gave a buddy of mine 2-3 chances to buy it but he never did. I can't believe that it sat there for a month at that price, too. I still owe the other 2/3 of the price. *sigh*

And then, a few weeks later, I made the mistake of going into another store across town. I spied a used Ruger GP100 4"bbl, blued in their used case. Again, upon closer inspection, this revolver also looked unfired! The trace around the cylinder was as faint as can be. It had just come off a "hold" for another customer and had been in the case about 30 minutes. $300 for a LNIB GP100 was a deal that I (unfortunately) couldn't pass up. I owe 'em another $200... *sigh*

Easy come, easy go, right?

Any one care to donate to my benevolance fund? I mean, it'll be my first revolver and all... hehe
