I have a Sig P226 MK25 (rail is a true mil-spec picatinny rail) and have a few questions about tactical lights. I don't need anything too extreme as it is will be used for indoor purposes in the home, for when something needs to be checked on in the middle of the night or for a potential break in. So i'd like something that can blind an intruder, and can also light up an area and not just one spot - but i don't want it to be too bright because i don't want the light reflecting off of glossy/light colored walls and then blinding me as well.
So what am I looking for, 65-90 lumens?
How much should i be looking to spend?
Any recommendations of tactical lights for my intended purpose?

Thanks

Imho, something between 80 and 150 would be ideal. After 150 I find the blindness effect is too much. I have a couple insight lights and for my small house, the little x2l is perfect, but a brighter one outside is nice. I have heard good things about the small streamlight for series light (tlr3?) as well.

I've used a TLR-1 for a couple of years on both a handgun (XD45 5") and an AR. I own the backplate that allows for the use of a remote switch, but I don't use the switch - I can position the light on my quad rail so that with a comfortable firing grip, I can activate the TLR-1 with my thumb.

At a little over $100, I think it's the best intersection of price and performance.

I'm thinking of going with the TLR-4 from opticsplanet.com. I have two $50 coupons to their website. Now I just need to find a holster for my Sig MK25.
