First was 9mmMike's new old Wingmaster, then Gohon's. Now It's my turn. Friday after Thanksgiving I took two out-of-town cousins shopping for turquoise jewelry ( ), but at the end of the trip we were close to a gun shop that usually has a pretty good selection of used pieces. There were several this time, but the one I couldn't put down was a sweet, older Wingmaster. It's a 1967 according to Remington, with a plain 28" tube with a fixed Modified choke. It's obviously been well used and well cared for. It's nicely broken in (buttery smooth), and the original finish has faded to a beautiful dark gray-brown. The wood is excellent. The recoil pad's a little hard, but 37 years'll do that. Inexplicably, it was priced well below other, newer used Express models with the cheaper plastic parts. ($169!!) The only reason I can figure is that it's a 2 3/4" and doesn't have choke tubes. So what, I say!
