My wife and I are buying a house in Waco (for those of you who saw my last thread, the house we'd procured fell through after we realized it was in the flight path of landing jets!) and we've been looking around at a lot of houses. It's been very cool to see how many everyday Joe, family people have guns in their houses. One guy had a dedicated, dead-bolted closet for his guns (woulda been cool but we found a house we liked more). Saw lots of shotguns in closets too etc.. One guy was a former military officer and he had a pistol holstered on his bedside table (it may have been a Makarov but I couldn't tell) and he was wearing surplus German military BDU's. I know about all the stats and whatnot but it's just cool to consistently see the evidence over and over. If only we could mobilize all these people and get some real work done!
For you Waconians, it looks like we're getting a house between Woodway and Hewitt in the Midway school district (Royalton subdivision). Barring a failed inspection, it looks like it's gonna happen.
