I am selling my beretta px4 45. Someone offered me a trade for a mossberg 935 with turkey barrel and slug barrel. I wouldnt mind having a hunting shotgun as the only shotgun i have is a m500 18.5 stainless. Is this particuliar model worth getting or should I pass and hold out for cash?

The Mossberg 930/935 series are excellent shotguns. The 935 is definitely a hunting shotgun, they aren't designed to shoot anything lighter than a 1 1/4oz load. Dollar wise, the Mossberg with 2 barrels is probably more expensive than the PX4. I would personally prefer the 930 since it will shoot just about any load you can stuff in it, but if you need a dedicated turkey/slug gun the 935 would serve you well.

I'd do it, but then, I'm not a Beretta guy. I've thought of getting a 935. I have an old Winchester auto that only shoots 2 3/4", but I've heard that once broke in, the 935 will shoot hot steel shot 2 3/4' stuff or high brass (hot) 2 3/4" lead loads. Would be a waterfowl gun (yeah, yet ANOTHER ONE, why I never got one) for me, anyway. It might be nice for goose hunting with 3.5" T shot. The gas action might, probably would, help with recoil.

The prices aren't that different so there is no one getting screwed value wise. The 935 with 2 barrels is probably a little more.

I would rather have the Beretta but that's just me.
