I found out about a charity for orphans and wounded vets right here in my backyard. They take kids/vets to a ranch south of here and hunt exotics and hogs etc. Most of these inner city kids have never even held a rifle. They are very very good about teaching safety and manual of arms. Just a wonderful program on so many levels. I am not soliciting anything here but suggesting if you have a like type charity in your area you may consider donating a safe, reliable C&R to them. The kids just freak out over "old guns".....Not much money but means a lifetime of memories for these kids and wounded vets.
Here is a Mosin Nagant I am taking this morning I just wiped down. Some kid/vet will have a smile on his/her face this weekend :)

Very cool, I'm glad there's programs like that to hopefully get kids interested in shooting (the good kind) and to teach them safety above all else.
