I'm beginning to wonder if google is anti-gun. I was looking for the Penn and Teller Bullsh*t episode about Gun Control yesterday in google's video section and couldn't find it. When I didn't have any luck with that I came on here, searched and found the link to it, only to receive a message that the content had been removed. Anyone else here think this is kind of shady? All of Penn and Teller's other shows were still there, but the gun control one was specifically missing.

I think Google is mildly anti gun, but the video thing probably had to do with copyright violations.

I'd say copyright issues, but the others are still there. I don't know what all it takes for google to remove a video though. Probably some anti reported that episode for copyright or whatever but didn't report the others.

I'm glad I saved it locally

A lot of that relies on the viewers to alert Google of videos that are uploaded illegally. A video covering as offensive and evil a topic as Guns just attracts more naysayers. It's more a function of the viewers than the company.

Google.com is anti getting sued by Mr. Penn.
Penn has actually said if it were up to him and teller they'd not have a problem with the videos being shared because they just want to get their messages out but showtime owns the rights and isn't quite of the same mind.

Anyway I agree, this isn't about being anti-gun, its about getting a dmca takedown notice for copyrighted material being put up for download without permission. Its just like oleg going after people for using his work without permission.

Seems like it only takes a little thing to get painted as being anti-gun.

I guess I'm anti-gun.

Coupla years ago, at JR's quarry, I had a chance to shoot his cut-down .500 S&W or his ultralightweight .44 mag.

I turned 'em down.

Kept expecting to see a shooter with the barrel embedded in their forehead - a few folks came close.

Has Google removed all of their videos that contain gun content?

Has Google programmed its search engine to not allow internet searching for gun related items?

Does Google still allow businesses that sell guns and gun related products to advertise on Google or allow those businesses to be displayed in the results of a gun related search?
