4" stainless Python Elite. Unfired except at the factory.

I've wanted one for a while.

I really like the one top left, last pic. Looks like nickel from here with dark rosewood grips. Even the trigger shoe looks good.

Yeah, its a bright nickel from 1971.

Nice! Have two 4" and one 6". All blue as guns shjould be! :D) Had a NIB 3" but it got to be worth more than I could stand so let it go and picked up a trap O/U, a skeet O/U and a 30-06 with $$ left for ammo! Yea, I will miss it but I could never shoot it! Local shop has a used, but very good 6" for $1000 .... so may own two soon! That is the cheapest I have seen out this way in a long time. Love my S&Ws but those Pythons are special.

Jeff, if I'm not mistaken, you've got a pretty darn nice collection of pythons too, right?

HankData: I think what I have is a good start.:D

Very nice. Question from a python tyro... do you guys ever actually shoot these guns, or are they pretty much collectable/drool pieces at this point?

Seriously not intending to flame; I'm actually curious.

Congratulations, even if I'd never buy one for myself. :) You clearly enjoy them and they're certainly quality firearms.

wow...

Very, very nice.

You've got yourself a wonderful collection. Those pictures floored me. Well maintained Pythons have got to be the most beautiful guns on the planet.

A very impressive collection. Nickel, blue and stainless in 6" and 4".
I assume that was planned.

Thanks.

Actually, the one 6" is not stainless, its that electroless nickel.

Thanks for the kind words, everybody.

Yes, I do shoot them.

I just got the Elite and haven't shot it yet.

I have a 6 inch stainless model that is my shooter, but all my blued models are queens. I have to admit that most of the shooting is done with my 357 Magnums which is the daddy to the Python. They might not have the pretty face of the Python but they can run with them all day long
