My brother bought this yesterday at the gun show.
He sent it home with me to fix it, as I have a family heirloom model 10 that I could use for comparison.

My brother got it for $20 instead of $100 or $200, because it did not work.

I realized that it had been reassembled incorrectly after take down.
The action bar had not entered the bolt.
And the trigger was frozen.
I can only think that someone put WD40 into it years ago, or something like that that dries and turns into glue.

I put some Breakfree Cleaner Lubricant Protectant CLP [the $16 for 4 ounces stuff] in it and started working it.

The shotgun works now.

I made this video to show my brother how to do takedown.

A Model 10?
I've had one of those for 40 or so years.
It was totally worn out when I bought it from a buddy.
35 bucks I think it was.
The sear is so warn it's totally unsafe to use.
I've tried to tear it down a number of times to see if I could get it far enough apart to do some repairs, but that design Garand came up with when he designed it is such a complicated nightmare I've never been able to figure it out. :D
