Whew, what a light. Didn't realize what I'd been missing. Great light. Went ahead and bought a box of batteries from Surefire at the same time. Definately saved some $.

Yes, they're cool little lights. I have just about one of each model they offer. My favorites are the G2 and the Aviator.

Well today I was changing out some light switches and realized that I didn't have any three way switches in my stock. So I ran around the corner to Keith's Ace Hardware here in Hewitt (south Waco). I remembered when I got there that they were having a special sale where you get 20% off of ANYTHING you can fit in a brown grocery bag. I got my switches and headed straight to the gun section. Guns weren't 20% off but all accesories, flashlights, knives etc were. I got a G2 Nitrolon for $27.99 (20% of $34.99). That seemed like a decent price. Too bad I didn't have more money or I woulda gotten a TacStar 8round extension for my 870 and maybe a nice Benchmade or something.

I already compared the G2 to my Brinkmann Legend LX in the bedroom and the beams seem almost identical. Then again that might not hold true for the Legend LXs that are currently on the market as I've heard they are no longer focusable. Tonight I'm going to compare the throw in my backyard. I suspect they will also be similar.

Of course the G2 is much easier to activate. I like it.

I liked my G2 for my bedside so much, I got one for each of my vehicles & bought my 3 son-in-laws each one.

I also now have a multi-diode flashlight (several makers) in the same configuration for non-tactical work.
