I made three trips to the pawn shop to get it. It was an estate sale gun, not much room for negotiatin' but the price was excellent. SN 1K49XXX puts it at1971. 17-3, excellent condition. Will shoot it Thursday, if the rain holds off...

Well Done!!! I have one just like it and the same year too! its my most accurate and reliable revolover period!!
The bluing on these is fantastic and still looks just as good 40 years later/

That's nice. I wonder if it was ever fired? Hard to see a turn line.

Had my 1950 K38 in the woods this weekend, put so many holes in a Delo 400 jug I quit counting, lol.

I think the only change I will make to mine is some target grips, those small ones just don't have enough meat to get a good hold of it.

Congrats on yours, you're sure to enjoy it.
 
That's definitely one sweet looking Model 17. I hope it's super accurate for you. Enjoy and thanks for sharing it with us.
