I was hoping for 9mm 92G but it's a .40S&W 96G. I'm really impressed by the gun however, the slide runs like glass on rails. Also it has an LTT speed bump trigger along with hammer spring, so the SA is extremely smooth and DA is like butter. Having fired Sig 226 and Colt 1911, I have to say this is the best trigger ever. I'll get pics next week but so far I have some questions.

I paid exactly $380 total for it with extra Wolff springs and 4 mags, so even though it's not the caliber that what I wanted, I believe it's a good price. I've never bought a Beretta before however, please let me know what you think.

The gun is used but in like new condition on the outside. The barrel looks very clean, but I can tell there's some throat wear in the barrel. The leading edge of rifling out of the chamber is worn for about 1/16". Is any way to tell how many rounds been fired? Otherwise the internal rails are in excellent condition.

The rest of the gun looks like brand new, not holstered at all, but the laser etching on slide is rubbed off where slide catch come up. Is there any way to restore that? I'm thinking since it's a Stainless slide, and the laser etching worked as it drills pits. maybe I can get some black paint into the area and rub it in, then wipe off the surface. The surface will be wiped off while ink residue will stay in the etching. Has anyone tried this?

Also what's the recommended spring power for the .40S&W 96G? The one on it is Wolff 15lb. It feels stiff enough.

And lastly, if anyone has an Elite II 92G in 9mm and would like to give .40S&W a try, maybe we can do a trade. I was hoping for caliber commonality with my Sig so I don't have to get different bullets.
