how will this ar15 work on hunting hogs?

It will be great as soon as you get a .50 Beowulf or .458 SOCOM upper for it. Good lookin' gun.

Nice gun. I have that same cleaning box. For Hogs you may want to step up to a 7.62x39.

veyr nice. i owned a colt that was a little problematic, sold it and bought 2 similar bushmasters, a little worried about my decision. after over 7k each, i wouldnt trade back.

My Bushy upper is a 16 inch barrel not 14.5, but thats how the gas piston rifle is made.

He wasn't much of a sniper. All of his shots were made at farely close range.

an ar 15 isn't a hog gun, the .223/5.56 round isn't meant for large game although my deer gun is a .223 (that's right nay-sayers, a .223 takes em out every time)
i've heard hogs by nature will take a large round to kill, i know the .50 beowulf is the prime hog killer/awesome round.
drop 800 bucks or so on an upper receiver for that thing and make a 50 cal out of that ar 15 lol...

Nice rifle I have a bushmaster M4A3 upper scheduled for delivery today and a Stag model 5 6.8 SPC in the lame 10 day wait period... I plan on getting a 50 beuwolf upper for a hog/bear gun but the 6.8 is a awesome hog gun ill tell ya it drops em every time...

I dont know what people been sayin bout hogs but I shoot em all the time with my .243 and they drop like a sack of rocks...right where they stood...

Theres a big difference between a .243 and .223 or 5.56 guy... .243 is a great hog round while .223 is not bad but it takes a lot of energy to down a hog everyone knows it's all about shot placement but you don't want to mess that up and have a pissed off hog running towards ya...

I have the exact same rifle....I payed 700 for mine with two 30 round mags.....I also have no problem finding .223/5.56 for mine.....As far as hogs go .....There not to big where I am from so I use it....I just use some hollow points....
