Ordered it on tuesday and it came in today. Bought a Remington 700 SPS Tactical in .308. 20" heavy barrel, hogue stock. When I picked it up I also bought a Weaver 4-20x50 Tactial rifle scope. Had the shop mount the glass before I left. Cant wait to get some range time with this. Plans are new stock, so many choices not sure which to go with but leaning towards the accuracy international 1.5 system. Not sure if I'm going to do a trigger upgrade until I know how this one handles but I've heard good things about the timney triggers.

Just a personal thing, but look into what that stock looks like with a 20" barrel. You might like it, but it's just not my cup of tea.

The AICS chassis is one of like it or hate it things. I happen to like them and have several. Suggest you test drive before you buy if you can.

Here is a 16" tube.

I like them, I just like the looks of a longer barrel on them....that bottom one is the barrel length that I prefer to see on them (not that the others are bad, I do like the camo patterns....they definitely add something to the gun)

Trigger jobs in a 700 are awesome. Also have heard good things about the Timney's.

Coworker of mine had his trigger done by a local gunsmith. No lie, it is the best trigger I have ever felt. Thing probably breaks at about a pound, but for some reason has a two stage feel to it, its just slick.

I have three 700s and had all of the triggers adjusted to 2 lbs. It is one of the great things about Remington triggers. They are easily adjustable to a crisp 2 lbs. My guy does not recommend lighter than 2 lbs. Timney's are pricey, but quite good I am told. Unless you are a competition bench rest shooter, and expensive trigger would not be worth it to me. But hey, if you do a timney, let us know how it feels and works.

hey dubbleA what colors did you use in the digital camo pattern in the middle pic? that's pretty sweet looking. i mean, i think it would go pretty well with my local veg
