Hi, everybody!

Just thought I would give you all an update to my search for a .22lr. Well, we got the ISSC M22 today. Got a great deal on it at J&G! For those that might be interested, they said they will continue with their current price as long as their stock continues to be replenished.

Also of note, I got the newer model with some design changes. Still looks like a Glock to me...but they changed a bit around the trigger guard, changed some of the serrations, and the grip to a slight degree. Oh, and now the rear sight is fixed.

I like it! And I really like the more affordable ammo! I know what ISSC suggests for the break-in period is on the more expensive side, but it's not too bad.

Thanks for all your help and input!

Hopefully going out shooting tomorrow! And if it functions to our liking, we may just get another one. You can't beat the price to practice. It has quite a bit of weight to it, for being a .22. Let's hope it performs to our expectations. The changes in design don't change the appearance much at all...it still looks like a Glock. My husband says it even feels good in his hand...he is 6' tall with large hands. I will update once we go shooting.

Would anyone like photos to note the design changes? Let me know. My husband is an awesome photographer and will take some to post here if there is interest.

Gun pictures are always welcome. I did a search here looking for feedback and info on this gun. Please post how it shoots, if it feeds well. My Ruger 22/45 is a tack driver but real picky about ammo.

Shot it!

I was able to shoot the M22 for the first time today and absolutely had a BLAST! In total, 100 rounds were put through it and, overall, I am very happy with the way it performed. We used the suggested ammo for the breaking in period and while there were a few failures to eject, it was nothing to lose sleep over as it is to be expected in a new firearm.

I have the newer model. Some changes were made to make it less Glock-like. Love the sights on the M22. The changes are not such that the gun doesn't look alot like the previous version. The biggest change, IMO, is the grips, but the new model is just fine.

Can't wait to go shooting again!! And, as a side note, I did much, much better hitting the target this time than I did with my .22 magnum.

Photo of M22

For some reason, I am unable to post my photo of my M22 because I have posted it in another thread here. So, if anyone is interested in seeing the changes made to make it look less than a Glock, please see my thread titled, "New ISSC model, after design modification".

Thanks!

Okay here it is resized.

Yes, thank you, Girodin. When I went to upload the photo here, I received a prompt that I already had the photo uploaded on another thread. I appreciate that :)

Just an update:

Went out shooting today and had some more fun with the M22. We put 200 rounds through it and it had very few (maybe 10) malfunctions, mostly FTE. Please remember that we are still in the breaking-in period. Today makes 300 rounds through it. Overall, we are very pleased! (Wish it had come with 2 magazines though!)

hummm.... ISSC M22.

I thought one of this could be fun but I don't know much about them so any feedback is highly appreciated:

-Same dimensions as any of the Glocks G17/G19 or smaller/larger?
-It looks they have the same ergonomics as the glock so muscle memory from Glock could be utilized?
-Anyone with some decent amount of hours behind one of these? I wonder about reliability and what ammo likes best and what is worse.
-Any pros and cons anyone?

Cheers,
E.

This is 1 in 20, sounds like my Chiappa 1911-22 which never got any better and sending it back was a waste of $60 shipping as it came back if anything worse :(

Good luck!

Many thanks for the prompt response.
I hate FTFs or FTEs that's why I carry and train with Glocks.
But if anyone knows to keep it to a bare minimum will be ok for fun/range.
1 in every 20 average might be good for some but it is not good for me.

Cheers,
E.

We plan to go out shooting tomorrow as long as the weather is good. We've got 200 rounds to put through the M22 and I will be posting results sometime tomorrow afternoon. I'm hoping the FTE's lessen even more.

Very nice. that would be great if we can get some first hand experiences and reports.

NG VI,
Unlike the glocks this is a double-action hammer and with a safety lever too.
It works both ways like a 1911 as this ones has a hammer that is not shrouded so you can pull the trigger w/o cocking the hammer (double action) or you can simply cock the double-action hammer and fire (Single action) both assuming there is one in the chamber. After the first shot it is single action of course just like glock.
Nice concept and with those exceptions the shooting/operation should feel like a glock but w/o recoil.
I cannot wait to here more about this pistol and folks experiences with them.
It looks that they could be a lot of fun.

WifeofBleys, please correct me if I am wrong in my reply to NGVI I was just reading about this new pistol.

Cheers,
E.

You are correct, 1stmarine.

It really is a blast to shoot! My husband and I both have alot of fun with it! I will be sure to post our experience with it as we put more rounds through it. As it stands, the FTE is still an issue, though it is improving. We expected this and so far, it is manageable.
