I traded for a Winchester today that I have been looking at for a year hanging on the wall at the gun shop.
It is a hex barrel winchester 1894 rifle not a carbine in 32 Winchester Special.
It has a fixed rear sight I mean it will not adjust up or down but will adjust windage, it has a tang sight that folds down when shooting 50 or 100 yds then up for 200 up. a windage adjusting front sight with a round brass ball on it.
Wood is dingd up as it is 100 yrs old as the SN indicate it was made in 1903 it has NICKEL STEEL stamped on the barrel and the barrel blue is 75% but the reciever is void of blue the feed tube is 50% and the bore is vg after I cleaned it.
I got two boxes of very old ammo with it one box of Western Super X in a yellow box and dark blue writting and a strip of blue at the bottom. The other is Remington Kleanbore Express in a Green and red box.
What do you supose te value of the firearm is?
