I found this forum by accident. Great Forum. I was doing research on accessories for my GP-100. I am looking for night sights for my 4" SS GP-100. I am also looking for a rail for the full lug to install a flashlight. Does anyone know a place to get accessories for the GP-100. I also checked with Crimson Trace, and it appears they don't make a grip with a laser yet. Any suggestions would be helpful. The GP-100 is the main pistol I carry.
Thanks

Do you have experience with those Meprolight night sights, Boats? I am considering a set for my nightstand/"car carry" GP100.

I'm a little hesitant because I quite like the standard iron sights (supplemented with a Ruger red-notch insert front sight) for daylight target shooting. I wonder whether you can do fine DA work at, say, 25 yards with those night sights on. Don't relish the idea of a lot of swapping back and forth.

Having a mostly autopistol background and recent convert to the joys of revolvers, I am probably not the one to ask. Yes I have these sights and they just make the sight profile look like an autopistol's to me. One lines up the dots in accord with how one has them set and you let fly. The dots aren't really all that noticeable in the daylight and decently bright at night, so during the day it is like a black/black line up, which I understand is a difficult pick-up for some peoples' eyes. I see nothing about them that wouldn't permit some front sight paint/nail polish on the face of the the front sight as long as one kept clear of obscuring the crystal.

Then again, I have been monkeying around with coupling the rear mepro and a green front fiber optic with some decent results. Ruger's push button mounting of the front sight makes it child's play to experiment.
