Well the two month wait is over and I’ve got my second Kramer scabbard. I’m beyond thrilled. It’s better than my king cobra holster if that was even possible. Top notch service. I love this company!! Best part is I can conceal it under my vest!

Nice handsome holster! Appears to hold the gun close in to your body. I like the color of the leather; I'm guessing this is their mahogany color. Reminds me a lot of cordovan.

Shoebox,

That is a really nice looking holster. Is your gun full lugged or half lugged?

Jim

Quality gun leather is a worthwhile investment and that certainly looks the part.

Shoebox...really nice , that deep rich red color is one of my favorites for holsters , looks good with the gun too .

They are like 135.00 ish. I had one made for my king cobra and I did a review or whatever for them and a little coupon was sent so this one was 115.00 ish. Exactly two month wait both times but well worth it. The edging and burnishing I think it’s called is the best part. Far as I know there’s no machines making these. Hand cut, moulded etc. it’s perfectly symmetrical It’s very large. Very wide. I need to wear it for a weekend and see what the “living with it” feels like. The 3 inch king cobra holster— I forget it’s on my body!

I have always considered the GP to be a great carry gun IF you can find good leather for it and a solid belt to hang it on. For a long time there wasn't much out there for the GP.

Alright, shoebox. I have been lurking and watching your posts for months and finally broke down and had to chime in. I've been looking for a holster just like the one you got for my half lug 357 gp100. It's the same model as yours. First time I saw it I knew I had to get one. I literally just fell in love with it at first sight. Anyway. It needs a holster. Which model is yours? I looked up their website but couldn't immediately tell which one it was.

They don’t make a “half lug” holster for the 5 inch gp100 ( they don’t have the molded gun I guess). Kimmy assured me several times that the full lug 5 inch would be fine with no movement up there at the muzzle. She was right. So I can holster any 5 inch GP in this thing! The gun does NOT move an ounce inside there! Only a perfect in and out

As I have more Kramer holsters (by far) than any other makers' products (of course, I'm blessed to be less than a half-hour away from him) I can attest to their quality. They are superb for hard use, but still look great. The only leather I will use for training courses. I have several Kramers dating from the early/mid 90s that are still in fine shape. Horsehide wears so well, even up here where it occasionally rains.

OP, his Vertical Scabbard model (a more straight drop, lower-ride) revolver holster is awesome for the field/woods/hiking, etc. But yeah, the Belt Scabbard conceals a revolver second-to-none.

For those unfamiliar to Kramer, know that they're not cheap. But just like quality glass for a rifle, the one accessory for a handgun you shouldn't skimp on is the holster. And the only other gunleather I've owned that comes close to being as durable or long-lasting is Milt Sparks.

And know the milt sparks is Maybe almost twice the price and 10x longer wait. I’m sure they are nice, but not for me. I got my leather company ;)

I soooo wanted the Lipseys 5” half-lug in the 7-shot .327 FM version, I just kept hesitating to flip the switch and poof! They’re hard to find now.

MAN, that’s a great looking handgun and the holster is first-rate as well. Nice job on both .

Stay safe.

When I first heard of this gun I thought... “man I’d love to have one of those someday”.. they were out there but not the price point I wanted. Found an online dealer that had the lowest price I’d seen. Got on the “email me when back in stock” thing. 6-7 weeks went by and it went from someday to “I need to buy this NOW or I’ll never find another!!” I’m glad I did. Not long after that POOF they’re all gone

I had been eyeballing them since they came out. At one point, a local gun store had one and I had it in my hand, just didn't buy it. I couldn't decide if I wanted a 586 or the GP. It was gone when I finally made my mind up. And then they were frogs teeth for months. Then they came back out, but were higher than the 586. The rona check and right price came along at the same time and I took the plunge into the wheelgun world.

Sadly, I have only fired mine once on 4th of July. I dead centered a coke bottle at 10 yards with a generic 38 spl load. I mean DEAD on where I was holding. I did take a medium Arkansas stone to the brass bead and hit it just hard enough to dull the finish on the brass. I can see the bead much better now. Also put in a Wilson spring kit using the heaviest springs in the kit as I don't want a spooky light trigger pull. It made a big difference in DA, which is what I was after.

If I get a chance, I am going to go work it out this weekend. I splurged again and bought 250 357 mag fiocchi rounds to shoot/break it in and for brass. Already got bullets, primers, and powder, just need to "make" the brass. How does yours shoot?
