Well with hard work, true grit and lil’ hustlin’.. I just ordered my gp100 5 inch blue half lug “ mongoose”!!! Why mongoose cause that’s the cobras nemesis! Lol. I was on an email list when the GP would be back in stock. I think I got the email Monday. I had the money but really needed to stay conservative and wait. But we all know these things disappear and you have to STRIKE now! I sold a Mauser that’s collecting dust and here I am. My first Ruger wheelgun. Small maybe issue is the site let me “add to cart” and Pay for it. Then on a revisit to the listing it says out of stock! I think I got the last one. I’m going to call tomorrow. I don’t know if I’m going to sleep well tonight! Now where’s my Kramer coupon i have laying around here..? Lol

Range report! Man o man.. this thing is better than I expected! I’m very impressed. It’s one thing to make the purchase and play with it at home but at the range the rubber meets the road! I was there really only to verify my new king cobra is repaired from its second warranty repair (it is). I was limited on time and ammo for the Ruger but one box of Winchester 110 sjhp white box was all they had. Anyway 15 yard range and made a few rear sight adjustments and poa is close to poi. I did most of it SA just to get a grouping for the adjustments. DA is combat acceptable and we know the trigger is getting better with every pull. I am a ruger fan-boy from this day forth!!! Howdy

I have lots of Ruger single action revolvers (and a bazillion Smiths) but I only have one Ruger double action revolver.

I picked up this 6" 357 Magnum GP 100 a few years ago. I think it left the factory around 1997. It's a nice shooter, almost as good as a Smith.:)

I LOVE that half lug 6" with the insert grips.
That is a fine looking revolver.
