I just purchased a Stainless Ruger GP100 with a 3 inch Full Shroud Barrel. I need suggestions for a top snap tan or black belt holster. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Steve

I too have a 3" GP100, that I need a good carry holster for. Haven't seen many manufacturers that offer holsters in anything but the 4" version.

I believe Blade-Tech offers them, but I don't really want Kydex. Somewhere I read that holsters for the L-frame Smith will fit the GP100, can anyone confirm this?

I carry mine in an Old World leather holster from Uncle Mikes. I don't carry concealed so I can't comment on how well it works for that though.

3in. Gp100?? hmmmm...Not that many floating around...

You can use a holster for the 4in without a problem..

Either PRCCW or myself can hook ya up..

3" holster maker

You might try Michael Taurisano of Tauris' Holsters at:

I use his reinforced high ride to carry a 4" GP and he makes them for 3" models. The holster can be seen at:

The beauty of it is that the holster has several options one can order to get what they want as noted such as thumb break, slot width for belt (to get a secure fit to the gun belt).

I had the same problem with a 3 inch taurus 44spcl revolver, the solution was a pancake holster from el paso saddelry.

Checkout www.gunnersalley.com. They have a very nice Don Hume Double Nine (H721) pancake type holster for your 3" GP100 for $48 delivered. They carry a large selection of various makes & models at very attractive prices. HTH.
