OK---the storyline doesn't look groundbreaking---and the trailer seems to give it all away; Mr. Eastwood's homage to his generation and a love letter to his fans that want just one more movie.

But when you put a Clint Eastwood, an M-1 and a '72 Torino on the one-sheet----and tell me I must wait until after Christmas----
I'm actually a little pi$$ed off.

When I look at this guy's eyes I have no trouble understanding that he is a killing machine. To me the eye appears very small and cold, almost lifeless.

Clint's portrayal of some enraged Korean War vet using his trusty M1 to bump off some pesky gangbangers suits me fine, although it may be difficult to stomach as far as bleeding heart "progressives" are concerned.

I'll wait for it to come out on Blu-ray.

I'm gonna just get this out of the way from jump street, so there will be no misunderstanding. I watched the Trailer for this movie and I WAS APPALLED!!!

Appalled that I'll have to wait until after Christmas to go see it, that is. I absolutely can't wait.

Uhh... does that make me bad?

Respectfully,

[wet blanket]I don't trust Eastwood anymore (not after flags/letters)... and I certainly don't trust Hollywood.

I expect "Evil white gun owner terrorizes poor minority children because they look too much like the 'gooks' he enjoyed killing in Korea".[/wet blanket]

Also, it probably doesn't do much to dispel the crude Hollywood stereotype of the out-of-control combat-veteran participating in abusive/extreme violence (i.e., atrocities).

Guys like this prefer to lash out at society rather than handling difficult situations in a "civilized" manner.

His traumatized mind regresses into thinking he is once again fighting in combat.

To me, movies are simply pure entertainment and are not to be taken seriously.

Like the car in the background.

BTW, Constantine...in your tag line you need to add an appostrophe in the word "killing's". That word is a contraction of "killing" and "is". Also, "your" should be "you're". And add a comma after "pushed" and a period after "breathin". I had to read it 5 times before I figured out what the heck it meant.

Gee, ol' Clint's back, making (lots of) money as a guy with a gun. Imagine that!
Once again, it's "High-Plains-Pale-Rider-Harry". ;)

I'll probably like it.

I'm downloading it now... can't wait to watch. Clint's character and I have a lot in common. :D

Very good movie, he's still throwin hard right hooks and packin a 1911.

Damn good movie, worth watchin.

Great Movie!

It hit a nerve with me, as I can relate to so much in the movie.
I am older, and I first recall Eastwood in a TV series called Rawhide.

Mentors of mine included World War I and II Vets, Korean War Vets, Vets of Allies, and ...as time went on Vietnam, and other conflicts.

I was born in the last great decade, and I was raised right. There is a Moral Law, a Code, and I was raised with all this.

So yes to me the movie was great!

Awsome, glad you liked it. There's all kinds of new movies there, Australia, and other great new movies. I haven't seen Day Of The Dead, the new one and just watched it...it was alright but the zombies are way too fast!!!

The movie is not about him having problems with Chinese...

The movie is about a traditionalist, an "all-American" who hangs on to an America that no longer exists. He drives a '72 Ford, the last car he made when he worked in the Ford plant. He holds on to his M1 and 1911, which he's had since the Korean war. He is less than pleased when his Son-in-law tries to put him in a nursing home and looks on with suspicion as some "differents" (actually Hmong) move in next door to him. He gradually comes to learn about the Hmong and respects the family. When the two of the neighbors are threatened by gang members, Eastwood takes action.

It's a movie everyone, lighten up a little.
