Here is my Grandson with his Papa's friend's (unloaded) custom AR-15. I wasn't there - but I'm so proud to see that indexed trigger finger. I have been drumming that into him since he was a toddler - with toys and airsoft pistols - now it's a habit.

We have yet to go range shooting with real firearms...but I think it won't be long now.

Bless you

One of my BIGGEST pet peeves and to see a child do it correctly makes me have faith in a future with young un's that can handle a weapon correctly.

After it's been drilled into you, you never forget. I find myself indexing my trigger finger any time I pick something with a trigger, be it a garden hosepipe or a drill.

As a young guy I occasionally find myself reminding others hanging out at the gun shop to keep their booger hook off the boom stick. :D

I've also asked a few times, 'are you a woman? no? then quit sweeping.' (when someone is muzzle sweeping me).

Good work!

It's a great feeling - I don't have to tell my kids to do it anymore either! They're also extremely conscious about muzzle direction. :)

(That last one is my all-time favorite - Dylan in the zone.. he means business!)

Heh, sorry, already got a full boat, Tye. Raising 5 kids takes a lot out of a man!

Especially when my 15 year old boy wants to invite half the high school over for a bonfire out back this Saturday. :(

Eh, I'm more impressed by my kids than my toys. :)

Even if the older boy has a goofy haircut and dresses funny, he has a good foundation for firearms. ;)

Of course, the same can be said of dad.
