Hey Roaders!!
As of now in the parking lot of our hunting club..
Went out 5his morning with my son and 2 buddy's and a rental dog.
Got 7 in an hour my back is going out so hanging in the truck.
Today is the last day of the season and it's really not much like hunting more like shopping with shotguns.
It's easy on us old guys the youngsters have a BLAST it's all good except my back.
Now my question is I have an old Winchester 50 12ga love this shotgun but next season here in .ca no more lead. Will this old dog Handel steel or non lead?
It's not that I can't get a new fancy one I really love this 50+ year old gun.

i don't see why you could not use bismuth, pricy but for hunting it's not to bad.

I can tell you two things you need to know about steel shot
1. It is environmental Barbra Streisand
2. It sucks

Years ago I, and many of the guys I hunted with, shot steel with a lot of older guns with no harm done. I would not use the much faster steel loads available now in the same guns.

Perhaps asking your question on the Shotgun forum would give you more expertise on steel shot vs. your barrel.
