    Pretty good insight here. The irrational fear thing seems to affect a lot of the non-firearm folks I know. The frustrating ones to me are those who won't even try to have a discussion about firearm ownership, and who won't let me take them out to the range to experience what it is like to shoot. Maybe what the author is saying here helps to explain that mindset . . .

    Great article, especially the part about having all of us equally helpless. I think that is a big one right there. Those in power want us to be equally dependent and helpless, and those who are already dependent and/or helpless want company in their misery.
