I took two of my good buddies shooting today! Neither of them had shot before but were very excited to go.

So my mom cooked us a huge breakfast and we loaded up the truck.

Marlin Model 75 .22LR
Remington 550 .22
Mosberg 500 18'' smoothbore
Remington 870 28'' Barrell
Remington 1100
Saiga 7.62 x 39

and lots of ammo too boot!!!!!

started slow with the .22's they had a great time with those. (couple boxes of Winchester Expert Hollowpoints)

Then stepped up to the shotguns gameload first. then some slugs blasting away at full 2 liter bottles.

Then went to the rifle range and sent quite a few rounds of that new polymer coated wolf stuff.

it was a great day, and i got to folks really interested in the sport. can't beat that!

It sounds like you had a great time! Teach the neophytes safety. Congratulations for bringing two more away from the dark side of the force and into the light!:D

Sorry Henry:rolleyes:

You will have to free up some space in a couple weeks when i finally get my Sig. (two weeks from today)
It's funny because most people my age are excited to get drunk legally. Not me I am getting myself a Sig and case of ammo, that i am not responsible enough to own yet

Range Ninja I like my Saiga a whole lot. Great gun. It came witha variable magnification scope on it (not much of a battle rifle scope). which i am going to replace soon. i am going to get the weaver rail style sidemount and find a better optic for a battle rifle. i have about 500 rounds thru it and no problems what so ever. eats everything i have put thru it with out a hiccup. can't really beat that for $300 out the door. and ammo is cheap as can be. i would suggest one for everyone.

ANY time you get new people onto the range, and they enjoy the experience, is A Good Day!

Congratulations on having convinced new folks to try Shooting Sports, for making it a safe and enjoyable experience, and for organizing the activity so well that it becomes something that they just may want to try again. If nothing else, you have countered the demonizing influence of the anti-gun crowd who can, somehow, thing of no reason why someone would want to shoot.

You've struck another blow for freedom.

Good on you, Cobber!

Jerry the Geek

PS: GREAT pictures!
