I've had a lot of trouble helping my mom find a firearm that didn't hurt her arthritis hands but have enough power to actually be effective in a self-defense situation. After trying a few different 380s I ended up having to get her a 32 ACP. Over the weekend A friend of mine had his wife with him and she had a Smith & Wesson Shield EZ. It's basically a Smith & Wesson Shield that shoots 380 instead of nine-mil but it's also got a really soft recoil spring so it's easy to charge and the magazine has a little button to assist in loading the mag but most importantly The Recoil is really soft with that little pistol. I talked my mom into just shooting it once or twice and she shot the whole magazine. I immediately went out and bought her one LOL. I just figured I would throw it out there because if my mom can shoot it comfortably then just about anybody can LOL. For the record I don't work for S&W or anything like that although I am a fan of their M&P series. Hope this helps someone that is dealing with the same problem I was. if you guys have any other Pistols that were really good 4 recoil sensitive people name them off.
