Check this guy's prices out!

I don't know the guys name even, so I'm not trying to support his business for personal gain. I'm here to share my narrative of the excellent service he provides.

He's based in Winfield, Kansas...about an hour drive from my house. We called Saturday morning to see if he could meet us at his 'shop' and we could avoid shipping that way. No answer, left him a message. We ended up driving that direction anyhow (my favorite gun shop is in the same town) and decided to drop in on this fella.

Unmarked building that I later found out was 12,000 square feet, and is 3/4 full of reloading supplies....all bullets, primers and powders. There was another man there from Bartlesville, OK who purchased over $1,000 worth of primers, powder and bullets. We spoke for a few minutes while the shop owner was putting together all of his supplies, he mentioned that he's been coming there every few months for over four years!

Then it was our turn, and I told the shop owner that we didn't have an appointment... and that we were in no hurry. He had a sign that said his hours were 9am to noon on Saturdays...it was already 12:15 by the time he had finished the last guy. So, I got about $160 worth of primers/powder and some bullets. He wrote up a very professional invoice and printed it out for me, along with a very detailed description of everything purchased and it's unit price...like some 55gr FMJ .223's were broken out to .063234 per piece. Everything is easily comparable.

He charges $20 hazmat fee up to 200 lbs from his website. He does "80-100 orders per day" he told me. And here's the best part, he did all this in a baseball uniform....he plays on the local league and he came over to help out the fella just before us right after the game, still sweaty and dirty. "He's from Bartlesville....that's over an hour drive, I'm not going to leave him high and dry."

He's a good fella... I asked for his cheapest Winchester or CCI primers...he mentioned his Wolf were a bit cheaper and they're just as good, but he claimed to have more than enough of any kind of primers I wanted.

Powder Valley will have my business as long as I am handloading ammunition, his prices are the cheapest, his service is excellent and he's a good ole boy from a good ole town, running a business out of the back 40 of his good ole farm.

Yes, Powder Valley Rules

I buy from them too. Nice folks, good service, great prices. :D

COOL... I play in an 18 and over league here in Alabama. It is based out of Auburn. The Billy Hitchcock League. Named after an old Major League ballplayer from there who recently passed. It is an MSBL/MABL affiliate. We start the playoffs Sunday. We are the Montgomery Rebels, named after the old minor league team based here years ago. A Tigers farm team I think. Tell him a fellow ballplayer said "hey" from Montgomery Alabama. Oh, tell him thanks for my last order too.

Love my baseball just like shootin' :D

I'll give him a shot, but it appears that Winchester LP primers are hard to find...

First, we'll see if the 5K actually gets here...

Actually...we were just happy to find the place. We took about 15 wrong turns and wasted an extra 1/4 tank of gas to find it....

It's totally not marked, just a big white building back off on a field, got a mailbox out front with the address on it, otherwise you'd never know it was powder valley.

I think he does all his business over the internet, but lets his locals come in on saturday to save on shipping, which is why we were there.
