Went out with family and friends on Saturday to just go sit in the woods, make a fire and burn some gun powder. We were there about 4 hours and shot up lots of cans, metal plates and targets, great time.
I absolutely could not miss with my 3" bbl 45 (ccw) that day. I went through about 100 rounds and was hitting center of mass on the cans at will at 50 feet. One of my best range sessions ever. My only regret, I didn't take my 10mm to find out if it would penetrate 1/8" stainless steel plate. 45 won't, not even with Double Taps 1050 fps stuff.
All in all, it was a great day. The girls started to get a bit grumpy, but with all that gun powder smell around, the calming effect made me hardly notice.
