Got this rifle this past winter. I had worked up a great load for 140gr Berger VLDs but had not yet found a good load for 142gr SMKs.
The rifle is a Savage LRP in .260rem with a Warne 20moa base and a Bushnell 3200 Elite 10x40 mil/mil scope, held on by Burris Extreme Tactical rings.
The two best loads I found both start with Winchester 7mm-08 brass necked down (This will change when it is worn out). I am running Federal Match primers.

140gr VLD
41.5gr H4350
OAL 2.900
2790 fps

142gr SMK
44.5gr H4350
OAL 2.850
2910 fps
