Hi All
About 6 months ago I had to sell about half my firearms (5) to accomodate a family situation. Since then I have swapped around and I think now I have, as of yesterday, a reasonable inventory. Marlin M39A, Remington M5, just acquired Marlin M983s, Ruger Single Six three screw unconverted, and S&W M15 factory refinish nickel. Enough to keep me busy but not broke. And before I hear the wails, a picture will be forthcoming as soon as I can get the digital batteryized and cranked up. Got the M983 sighted in today and hope to get it out to the longer range on Friday. Potential seems much greater than I can provide. Carrying a 3-9X32 inexpensive scope at the moment which has worked for me in the past. Actually an air rifle scope. Put a 2.5X on the M39A but will probably go back to the Skinner. Seems more fun and don't lose that much accuracy under 50yds. Ruger SS is blued and in a league of its own. Honestly shoots lr and WMR equally well for me. Trigger is about 4lb and crisp. WMR sound like a .38. The M15 is truly a beauty. Appears to have been sent back and redone about in early '70s. Shoots like a true M15. Makes me look much better than I really am. Is now my only centerfire handgun, but can't think of a better one. Still don't know how the Rem. M5 slipped in except I owned a M541T many years ago and it reminded me of one. Did not realize it was imported until after I bought it. Very pretty and a great shooter. Currently wearing a 4X Bushnell Banner. Almost 1 hole to 50yds.
Thanks so much for your patience for my rambling. Have had some family medical issues and the rifles have been a godsend as a stress reliever over the term.
Promise the pictures will be up in the next day or so.
