A month or so back I wanted to try some of the 62gr Federal Fusions RMR had on their web site but I didn't really want 1000. I contacted Jake and he was kind enough to put lots of 500 up on the web site for me.
Ordered some and they arrived promptly.
I didn't check them real close after receiving them and tossed them in the closet for later.
Pulled them out to load and :uhoh: they were FMJs. I sent Jake and email and he got back to me right away saying they would double check to see what happened. On checking it looks like they made a honest mistake and sent the wrong thing. They shipped the Fusions out to me and said to Keep the other 500 FMJs for the trouble. NICE! Free bullets :D
Turns out it was some new people in the shipping Dept, and like I mentioned earlier stuff happens. Jake and RMR went out of their way to make it right for me. No hassle no problems getting it corrected even though it had been a while since I ordered. It sure is nice to know there are companies out there who care about their customers and Rocky Mountain Reloading is definitely one of them.

So since I now have 500 FREE 62gr .223 FMJs (I can't tell you how upset this makes me, now I have to go buy some more powder and primers for .223:) )I will but up some in BDS PIF thread for someone else to try as well.

I have always been happy with RMR and would recommend them to anyone looking for bullets.
I really like the hard core 124gr 9mm FN and the 230 .45 RN they sell, these have become my favorite bullets for these two calibers.

I wanted to post this not to complain about the mistake but to praise RMR for their efforts to make it more than right.
Just good people to do business with.

I have been very happy with what I've bought from them as well. And Jake often responds here to answer questions we have. Great place to do business.

Over the years, Jake/RMR has responded very well and timely to customer service issues, often to benefit of customers. It's how they do business.

You hardly ever read any complaints about RMR anymore.

They are now my go to vendor for plated/jacketed bullets.

I've been very pleased with everything I've ordered from them. My CZ P09 absolutely loves their 147gr hardcore match. And the fast shipping is great.

Thanks for posting this Dudedog.

BTW, I learned good customer service from you guys here on THR. I used to be a security guard at a hospital. (About a decade ago) During the long 12 hour nights shifts I would be stuck watching cameras at the information desk. I started out as a lurker but eventually joined as a member as I got into reloading. Back then I read almost every single thread on THR as there wasn't much anything else to do while sitting at a desk for hours on end. You guys taught me how to treat a customer right. At first it was difficult because I made VERY little money when I started so mistakes were fewer but when they happened it usually wiped out an entire week's profit. But in the long run I think it worked well for me and the word got out about our no hassle customer service. Anyway, this is a long way of saying THANKS to Dudedog and to all of you guys who have taught me so much.

I like everything I have gotten from RMR and plan to order more as soon as the weather gets to be a little more shootable... There is nothing to say about the service, except that it is all it should be.

I am grateful for this forum introducing me to RMR. I like their approach and was very pleased with my first order. It's nice to find a company that has great prices and great customer service. I highly recommend RMR.

I'll add to this, RMR is great and have also always appreciated Jake's posts here.

I wish all companies thought the way many reloading supply companies do.

Imagine a world where RMR, RCBS, etc were the norm!
Louie Armstrong singing in the background...

"And I think to myself, what a wonderful world..."

And now back to reality! LOL

It would be interesting to see if someone who has both could load them to the same depth in the case (Not OAL) with the same powder charge/primer and see.

I believe it would be pretty close.

I have someone in mind that may be able to help us get that data. I only sent him 50 of the flat nose though so he may have already shot them up.

My HPs have been shipped :D so soon I will have both the HPs and the plated FNs.
I suppose I can give that a shot for everybody but oh dear math is involved :what: :uhoh:
This is assuming I can even load two of the same type of bullet to the same depth, as well as the new ones. :)
So what we are after is the same bullet depth/remaining case volume, same powder charge and primer correct?

I will try to test with a couple powders for everybody. (S+B primers)
I will consider requests.

Powders
Autocomp
BE86
Bullseye
CFE Pistol
HP38
Promo
Titegroup
Universal
WSF

CFE Pistol and WSF will be on the list, I will add 1 or 2 more for the first round. Let me know which others everybody would like to see first.

As soon as my retirement check comes in, I'll order some of the HPs also and test them against the FN I have...which I'm very happy with.

I'd like to see Titegroup data if possible. And HP38 if nobody else has any requests.
