Saw that in London with HK SMGs in front of government buildings.

I was in Israel in 1971, Brinks armored car guards were carrying Uzis, as were many on and off duty men and women in the IDF.

Franco Spain 1970, Barcelona airport security were carrying SMG. Same in London, Lisbon, and Amsterdam after 9/11.

Also saw palace guards in Stockholm carrying Carl Gustaf M/45's (aka Swedish K, short for Kulsprutepistol ).

European police carrying automatic weapons is in response to criminals and terrorists doing likewise. In Greece, for example, any self-respecting criminal uses an AK-47. For some reason, street criminals in the U.S. don't do this. It's interesting that Europe has some of the strictest gun control in the world, which has obviously failed.

GONRA's modest cartridge collection has his
"modern factory PINFIRE" specimen dated 1984:

12 Gauge 32mm short Aluminum Case pinfire flare for French National Railway.
Headstamp: LXT 5-84 SNCF
Société nationale des chemins de fer françaisSNCF”
"National Company of French Railways") is France's national state-owned railway company.

Europeans must love Olde Stuff!

While this is a diversion from the OP topic, now we have bow and arrow attacks in Norway. Or maybe a crossbow, seen both reported. I saw a comment that this was a result of not allowing guns for the populace but a counter was that if firearms were available it would have been a firearms attack. The previous racist rampage was done with a legal Mini-14 that the killer had to jump through many hoops to get. I think they are banned now.

And today a UK MP was stabbed to death at a constituent meeting. When someone wants to do harm they will find alternatives to firearms.

Clicked on the article for the pictures, and was instantly met with flashbacks to all my math based classes. I forgot π isn't just a constant, but an actual letter.

I think we could help them by everyone throwing in $100per gun for an "obsolete gun buy back" and then they would be well on their way to buy something newer. That sounds fair, eh?
