Green Dot & 223

Wanted to try some reduced loads for my 223. I found this web site showing loads ranging from 4 to 6.4 grains of Green Dot. (http://www.accuratereloading.com/223rem.html)
Has anyone tried these? Do you think they would work in my AR?

While you might be able to develop a load that is quite accurate, I doubt that the light loads of fast burning pistol powder would produce enough gas pressure to operate the action of your AR. This has been my experience.

Some people report good success with Blue Dot, for reduced loads.

The AR15, with reduced power cartridges, actually makes a pretty decent straight pull bolt action rifle.

I've had pretty good results with Blue Dot for reduced rifle loads, but not in an AR. Blue Dot is absolutely filthy burning, with unburned flakes of powder the norm. Sure fire way to jam up an AR action.
