Being downtown in Manhattan and patronized by well heeled sportsmen, G&H naturally catered to the carriage trade and produced high-end rifles. Their earliest sporting rifles were mainly built around then-available Mauser, Springfield, Enfield and even Krag actions. Later, their preferred rifles were custom stocked and refined M-70 Winchesters. One of their specialties was converting M22 Springfields from .22RF to .22 Hornet. Which required some neat gunsmithing, especially converting the bolt and magazine feed, plus little extras like installing M-70 type safety and reshaping the bolt handle, plus their distinctive classic stock style and checkering, shown on this K-Hornet example with vintage Unertl scope.
