ok, so i really like the rifle, its super fun and accurate as all get-out, but it has a problem. it spits magazines out at me. its the Glock mag version. the mag that came with it got the notch that is held by the mag catch in the gun eaten up from being spit out at me. the nice square notches ended up rouded on the corners and thus will not stay on the latch. i though it might be the magazine itself, so i bought new ten rounder and it was fine for a while and the same thing started happeneing every time on the last round, which jammed as a result. i tried my new Scherer 33 round mag and it did the same thing! now the notch on my new $70 magazine is rounded and it won't stay in. not that it worked that well anyway. after extensive cleaning of the inside of the mag it only jammed every 5th or 6th round as opposed to every other round.

so my question is does anyone have the Beretta mag version? how is it? Cabella's has 30 rounds mags for Beretta's for $15 and the mags are metal instead of plastic which could be an advantage in my book. i'm not crazy about plastic mags. are the S&W versions ok?

I'm thinking of asking Kel-Tec to trade it for a Beretta mag version, but i'll have to wait until monday as they close at 4pm EST. (slackers)

any input appreciated. thanks.

Bobby

Maybe youve seen my reports,as i have the 5906 version and at first the mag would not lock in place even when empty. After exercising the mag release abot 100 times the mag started locking in place about 95% of the time. When full it really takes a firm hand to seat the mag and it has been suggested to me that problem may be solved by my leaving the last round out of the mag.The lady i talked to at Kel-Tec said she had never heard of this mag retention problem but would look into it.
